Anvar Abluj
Director: Bom in 1947, Anvar Abluj entered the College of the Dramatic Arts in Baku in 1964 and began to study stage and film acting, later he travelled to Moscow and in 1966 graduated from the Moscow Film College in the field of acting. He began filmmaking in 1975 with a motion picture titled "Frengis". Since then he has made numerous documentary and feature films, including "The Life of Rasul Reza" (1980), "The Life of Ebrahimov" (1982), "The Warriors of the Black Pond" (1984), "Only You" (1986), "The Window" (1991), "The Story of Gaba" (documentary, 1992). Anvar Abluj is also active in the field of dubbing and has dubbed several Iranian movies into Azeri. He also works as a film critic and teaches filmmaking.
